This calendar helps families, community partners, and potential sponsors understand where we plan to compete, why each opportunity matters, and how their support can directly benefit our athletes.
KFL Micro/Mini Contact
SEPTEMBER–NOVEMBER 2026

WHY WE PARTICIPATE:
FAFF’s story in Panama began 20 years ago through Raúl Méndez de Obarrio and the KFL—with one young contact football player. Fast forward to 2026, FAFF has actively identified, developed, and prepared approximately ten new U10 Micro and U13 Mini student-athletes, joining returning players recruited last year. KFL participation gives these young athletes a pathway from introductory community training into Panama’s most established youth American football program in the country.
Big Family Flag Tournament

U11 COED & U14 GIRLS
WHY WE PARTICIPATE:
Big Family Flag is a community-centered program serving the U11 Coed and U14 Girls categories. Its philosophy—“Más que un torneo, es una familia”—closely reflects FAFF’s commitment to development, inclusion, and belonging. This is a newer opportunity for the Believers, but its organizers reached out personally to ensure our teams and athletes were not overlooked. We value partners who intentionally create space for developing players, growing programs, and families throughout the football community.

WINTER SEASON
WHY WE PARTICIPATE:
FAFF participated in the 2026 Liga Pro Development League in the U11 Coed, U16 Girls, U17 Coed, and U19 Coed categories. More than half of our rosters consisted of first-time players, giving developing athletes valuable competitive experience. Liga Pro supports our pathway from academy training into organized games while creating opportunities across multiple age divisions.

WHY WE PARTICIPATE:
FAFF Believers has participated in the Panama City Bowl every year since the tournament was created by Fundación IDEART. Our first appearance featured Rookie Tackle athletes in a full-contact exhibition, followed in subsequent years by participation in the Men’s Open category. Under Humberto’s leadership, the tournament is consistently well organized from top to bottom and attracts strong international participation. Humberto respects FAFF’s mission and goes out of his way each year to ensure that our athletes are included.

WHY WE PARTICIPATE:
After 20 years in football in Panama, FAFF considers the Summer Flag Championship the most well organized, creative, and professionally executed tournament the country has so far encountered. Year after year, its leadership reaches out personally to ensure that Believers athletes are included and FAFF’s mission is respected. With support from Banco General, we competed in 2026 in the U11 Coed, U11 Girls, and Men’s Open categories. In 2027, we intend to assemble our strongest competition teams yet, including the planned return of Coach Jack Reed and quarterback Daniel Proenza. FAFF Believers were the 2026 U11 Coed champions.

WHY WE PARTICIPATE:
FAFF Believers has participated in the Summer Bowl (the original summertime flag football experience) since its creation three years ago. We were last year's U11 coed Champs. Its experienced organizing team consistently delivers a highly competitive event featuring many of Panama City’s strongest men’s and girls’ teams. Beyond competition, the Summer Bowl has trusted FAFF with live-stream production, creating valuable opportunities for our media program while helping make our teams’ participation possible. This relationship represents the kind of partnership we value: organized, competitive, respectful, and committed to supporting both athlete development and FAFF’s broader mission.

WHY WE PARTICIPATE:
Latino Bowl 2027 represents FAFF Believers’ most ambitious international effort to date and our first trip abroad since Cancún, Mexico, in 2022. We aim to compete in at least two divisions while launching a new football-tourism model that combines high-level competition with cultural learning. The tournament brings together teams from across Latin America, giving our athletes exposure to new playing styles, communities, and perspectives. Beyond the field, we hope to explore Colombian history and culture, turning this journey into an educational experience that strengthens confidence, unity, and global awareness.
